Canon EOS REBEL T2i
High magnification macrophotography of the dorsal thorax of a male ten-lined June beetle. The beetle's stripes and patterns are made up of these tiny bristles which emerge from recesses in the carapace. In order to obtain high depth of field, 139 individual frames were combined using Zerene Stacker. The lens used was a Nikon Finite Conjugate 10/0.25 microscope objective on a bellows.
